Methodology regarding the automatic recognition by UTCN of the status of PhD supervisor obtained abroad*

This procedure automatically recognizes, within the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, the teaching positions obtained in an accredited university institution from abroad.
The procedure applies to Romanian citizens and citizens of EU Member States, the European Economic Area, and the Swiss Confederation, who have obtained a teaching position in accredited university institutions of EU Member States, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and in prestigious universities from other countries included in the "list of prestigious universities from other states" approved by OMENCS no. 5825/2016 and updated periodically, for the purpose of settling on the territory of Romania. The procedure implements OMENCS 5922/2016 regarding the approval of the Methodology for the automatic recognition, by higher education institutions, of university teaching positions obtained in accredited university institutions from abroad.
The exercise of rights conferred by the teaching position is carried out according to the legal provisions in force.

Fees
The habilitation exam fee is 1200 EUR. For UTCN members, the fee is 900 EUR.
The registration fee for teaching position competitions is 50 RON.
The processing fee for the admission colloquium for teaching grades in pre-university education is 50 RON.

The appeal is submitted to the university. Subsequently, the university's final decision may be challenged in court. The deadline for resolving the recognition file will be 30 days from registration. The decision can be appealed within 24 hours from issuance and will be resolved within 48 hours by the Appeals Commission, composed of 3 faculty members.
