Obtaining the status of ARACIS expert evaluator for university teaching staff*

University teaching staff who wish to become ARACIS expert evaluators must go through a process that includes meeting certain eligibility conditions and evaluation criteria. Admission to the National Register of Expert Evaluators (teaching staff) RNE-CD is carried out in two consecutive stages.
Eligibility conditions:
Ø They must be tenured teaching staff with an individual employment contract for an indefinite period, holding the position of lecturer, associate professor or university professor, with experience in the evaluation of education quality.
Ø The teaching staff must prove experience in the field of quality assurance in higher education.
Ø They must apply for a single field of bachelor degree university studies or for the forms of organization of distance and part-time university study programs.
Ø There must be an open call for applications for the chosen field of bachelor degree university studies or for the forms of organization in distance and part-time education.
Evaluation criteria
Ø Candidates have teaching and scientific research experience in the field of university studies for which they are applying or for the forms of organization of distance and part-time study programs;
Ø Candidates have experience in university management, gained through:
· being members in the management structures at the university level or structures assimilated to them;
· holding management positions in a higher education institution or an education provider or structures assimilated to them
Ø Candidates prove knowledge of at least one foreign language of international circulation;
Ø Candidates have not been sanctioned for violating university professional ethics and deontology rules.
The admission of teaching staff into the National Register of Expert Evaluators (teaching staff), RNE-CD is made through an electronic platform, available at the address: https://rne.aracis.ro. Applications sent through other communication methods are not accepted for analysis. Each teaching staff must first register on the platform https://rne.aracis.ro/înregistrare.aspx.
Submission of documents:
· Electronically through the platform https://rne.aracis.ro.
· Program: Monday – Friday 08.00 – 16.00
Required documents:
1. CV of the teaching staff – this will be filled in directly on the platform https://rne.aracis.ro.
2. Certificate – issued by the higher education institution from which the candidate comes, certifying that the candidate is a tenured teaching staff, with an individual employment contract for an indefinite period, with the position of lecturer, associate professor, or university professor;
3. Declaration on own responsibility that they have not been sanctioned for violating the rules of university professional ethics and deontology.
Admission stages
· Stage I - involves meeting the eligibility conditions and the evaluation criteria according to the information provided in the CV and from the documents uploaded on the platform by the candidates. The Committee of Permanent Experts (CEP) analyzes these applications and formulates reasoned opinions regarding the admission or rejection of the applications. The ARACIS executive office validates the CEP proposal regarding the acceptance or rejection of the application. Communication of the acceptance or rejection decision, as the case may be, is made by email.
Passing Stage I is necessary in order to proceed to Stage II.
· Stage II - consists of taking a test to evaluate knowledge regarding evaluation and quality assurance in higher education, according to the bibliography available at https://www.aracis.ro/bibliografie-aracis-rne/, requiring a score of at least 70% of the maximum possible score.
The admission of candidates into the RNE-CD is done with the approval of the ARACIS Council, after successfully completing the two admission stages.
