Regarding the Current Professional Certificate, we wish to make the following clarifications:

In accordance with the provisions of Pharmacy Law no. 266/2008 in its consolidated form as published in Official Gazette no. 448/30.06.2009 Part I, as well as the Implementation Rules published in Official Gazette no. 538/03.07.2009 Part I, pharmacists who will hold the position of chief pharmacist in a pharmaceutical unit (in cases of establishing new pharmaceutical units, as well as changes of chief pharmacist - for those who will take over the position), will address the county colleges to obtain the Current Professional Certificate.

Also, this document is necessary for pharmacists who wish to practice their profession outside the country borders.

The methodology for drafting and issuing the Current Professional Certificate has been established by Decision of the National Council of C.F.R. no. 1/2007, decision published in the Official Gazette of Romania Part I no. 324 of 15.05.2007.

Below we present the main provisions of Decision no. 1/2007, as follows:

- The Current Professional Certificate will be drafted by the Romanian College of Pharmacists and issued by the territorial college where the applicant is registered;

- The validity of the Current Professional Certificate is 3 months from the date of issuance;

- Within a maximum of three days from receiving the request for issuing the Current Professional Certificate, the territorial college will send the standard application to the Romanian College of Pharmacists for drafting and issuing the document;

- Within a maximum of 30 days from receiving the application, C.F.R. will draft the certificate and send it to the territorial college;

- The Current Professional Certificate will be issued by the Romanian College of Pharmacists, which will prepare it and send it to the territorial college;

- The territorial college will prepare a Registration Record – with the identification data of Current Professional Certificates issued to pharmacists from the respective county – and will hand them to the applicants upon signature of receipt.

The fee for issuing the Current Professional Certificate, in the amount of 150 lei, will be paid into the account of the territorial college RO42BTRL02501205137047XX in accordance with Decision no.1/21,11,2024 of CFR.

To obtain the Current Professional Certificate, the pharmacist will submit to the territorial college a file which will include the documents listed below.
