Regarding the Current Professional Certificate, we would like to make the following clarifications:

In accordance with the provisions of the Pharmacy Law no. 266/2008 in its consolidated form as published in the Official Gazette no. 448/30.06.2009 part I, as well as the Implementation Rules published in Official Gazette no. 538/03.07.2009 part I, pharmacists who will hold the position of chief pharmacist in a pharmaceutical unit (in cases of establishing new pharmaceutical units, as well as changes of the chief pharmacist - for those who will take over the chief position), shall address the county colleges to obtain the Current Professional Certificate.

Also, this document is necessary for pharmacists who wish to practice their profession outside the country's borders.

The methodology for drafting and issuing the Current Professional Certificate was established by the Decision of the National Council of C.F.R. no. 1/2007, published in the Official Gazette of Romania Part I no. 324 of 15.05.2007.

Below we present the main provisions of Decision no. 1/2007, as follows:
- The Current Professional Certificate will be drafted by the College of Pharmacists of Romania and issued by the territorial college where the applicant is registered;
- The validity of the Current Professional Certificate is 3 months from the issuance date;
- Within a maximum of three days from receiving the request for the issuance of the Current Professional Certificate, the territorial college will send to the College of Pharmacists of Romania the standard application for drafting and issuing the document;
- Within a maximum of 30 days from receiving the application, C.F.R. will draft the certificate and send it to the territorial college;
- The Current Professional Certificate will be issued by the College of Pharmacists of Romania who will draft it and send it to the territorial college;
- The territorial college will keep a Registry of records – with the identification data of the Current Professional Certificates issued to pharmacists from the respective county – and will hand them to the applicants under signature of receipt.

The issuance fee for the Current Professional Certificate, in the amount of 100 lei, shall be paid to the account of the territorial College RO45BRDE410SV26208314100.

To obtain the Current Professional Certificate, the pharmacist must submit to the territorial college a file that will include the documents attached below.
