Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiești recognizes the doctoral diploma and the title of doctor in sciences or in a professional field, obtained abroad at:

a) accredited higher education or research – development institutions from a member state of the European Union, the European Economic Area and the Swiss Confederation;

b) accredited higher education or research – development institutions included in the List of prestigious universities from other states, approved by order of the Minister of National Education and periodically updated;

c) accredited higher education or research – development institutions which are the subject of an international convention of mutual recognition, concluded at intergovernmental or interuniversity level.

The doctoral diploma or the title of doctor in sciences or in a professional field, obtained at accredited higher education or research – development institutions abroad, other than those provided in art.1, are recognized by the National Center for Recognition and Equivalence of Diplomas (CNRED), which, in justified cases, may request the evaluation of the recognition file by the National Council for Attestation of Titles, Diplomas and University Certificates (CNATDCU).

Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiești collaborates permanently with CNRED for the recognition of the diplomas provided in art. 1 and transmits a centralized situation of recognition requests semi-annually.

Recognition is carried out for the purpose of enrollment in postgraduate programs, obtaining habilitation, occupying a teaching or research position at the Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiești.
