Details
The family support allowance is a form of support for families with low incomes, up to 530 lei per family member, who are raising and caring for children up to 18 years old.
The granting of the family support allowance aims to supplement the income of families in order to provide better conditions for the upbringing and education of children, as well as to encourage the attendance of school-age children, under the care of families with low incomes, to attend courses organized according to the law, as per art.1, para.2 of Law no. 277/2010 regarding the family support allowance, republished, with subsequent amendments and completions.
If the family owns, rents, borrows, or holds in any other form at least one of the assets included in the list of goods that lead to exclusion from the granting of social aid, provided in art. 8, para. (2) and (3), of Law 416/2001 (Annex no. 3 of Government Decision 778/2013), they are not entitled to the allowance.
