Details
Through this procedure, the quality of PhD supervisor obtained at an accredited higher education institution abroad is automatically recognized within the Maritime University of Constanța.
The procedure applies to Romanian citizens, citizens of member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and of third states who obtained the quality of PhD supervisor in accredited higher education institutions from member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and from prestigious universities in other states listed in the List of prestigious universities from other states, approved by Minister of National Education Order no. 5462/2018.
Only in the case of temporary exercise, the provisions of Law no. 200/2004 and art. 296 of LEN no. 1/2011 apply directly. Reserved, vacant, or temporarily vacant teaching positions are to be filled with priority by tenured teaching staff of the institution or by associated teaching staff.
The exercise of the rights conferred by the quality of PhD supervisor and the occupation of a teaching position in the Romanian educational system are carried out according to the legal regulations in force.

Appeal routes
The appeal is submitted to the University within 15 calendar days from receiving the decision of non-recognition; afterwards, the university's decision can be challenged in court.
