Monitoring the way of upbringing and care of the child with parents working abroad is addressed to children with both parents gone abroad, children with the single supporting parent gone abroad, children with one parent gone abroad, and children returned to the country after a period of staying abroad with their parents for more than one year.

After identifying the children in the above situations, monitoring is carried out by making visits to their home or to the legal representatives to check how they are being cared for, to identify risk situations and those that require the provision of services and benefits.

Risk situations can be brought to the attention of the authority through a direct request from the child or legal representative, notification by the parent exercising sole parental authority, written or telephone report from other family members, self-referral, referral of the case by a specialist or other institutions interacting with the children/parents.

Parents will notify the institution regarding the intention to leave for work abroad, indicating the person who will take care of the upbringing and care of the child during their absence.
