The social inquiry is an investigation method based on different techniques for collecting and processing information, aimed at analyzing the social and economic situation of individuals, families, groups, or communities.

The social inquiry is carried out by the specialized social service within the city hall in whose territorial area the person with disabilities has their domicile or residence.

To carry out the social inquiry, the applicant (as the case may be, their family, legal representative, personal assistant, the non-governmental organization of which the person with disabilities is a member or, in their absence, by any person representing them) will submit a request accompanied by the necessary documents for preparing the social inquiry to the headquarters of the Oradea Social Assistance Directorate - Public Relations and Initial Assessment Service, after which a field check will subsequently be carried out at the patient's home.
