Emergency assistance is granted to families or individuals who are in situations of need caused by natural disasters, fires, accidents, the burial of persons without legal supporters, as well as other special situations established by law.

Emergency assistance (depending on the situation) is granted in cash based on the Mayor's Order for granting emergency assistance, which is based on the written request of a family member or of the individual, as well as the social inquiry carried out by the staff of the Social Benefits Office within the Dorohoi Social Assistance Directorate, by which the situations of need or, as the case may be, the special situations in which the families or individuals are found, are certified.

The necessary funds for the payment of emergency assistance are covered from local budgets.
