The procedure describes the activities carried out regarding the cessation of free urban transport with means of public transportation for persons with severe disabilities, persons with serious disabilities, personal assistants or their companions according to the provisions of Law no. 448 of 2006 regarding the protection and promotion of the rights of persons with disabilities, with subsequent modifications and completions.

The termination of the right to free urban transport with means of public transportation is done in the following situations:

- at the beneficiary’s request;

- following the death of the beneficiary;

- change of disability degree following reassessment;

- change of domicile of the beneficiary to another locality or another county;

- as a result of non-fulfillment of the conditions on which the granting of free urban transport by means of public transportation was based, ex officio, for beneficiaries (expiration of the disability certificate, expiration of the identity card or ID);

- as a result of the retirement of the beneficiary and request for free TURSIB card granted to persons who have the status of pensioner.

Persons who no longer meet the conditions for granting the right to free urban transport with surface means of public transportation shall submit to the Sibiu Social Assistance Directorate an application by which they inform the institution of this fact.

Beneficiaries of free transport who no longer meet the conditions on which granting this right was based have the obligation to hand over/return the card received.
