Details
  1. The practice authorizations for public services related to the medical act of optics-optometry; prosthetics-orthotics; hearing prosthetics, voice therapy, audiology; sociology and medical physics are issued by the Ministry of Health through the county public health departments and the Bucharest municipality, as applicable, in accordance with Order MS 1992/2023, as updated.
  2. The specified practice authorizations are issued based on the application accompanied by the required documentation, depending on the public services related to the medical act provided by the applicant.
  3. The specified documents are submitted by the applicant to the county public health department or the Bucharest municipal public health department within whose area of competence the applicant carries out or will carry out the public services related to the medical act.
  4. If the submitted documentation is incomplete or it is found that the applicant does not meet the conditions for issuing the practice authorization, within 5 working days from its registration, the county/Bucharest municipal public health department notifies the applicant to complete the documentation or, as appropriate, informs them regarding its non-compliance.
  5. If the person requesting the practice authorization carries out their activity in the area of competence of several public health departments, the application for the issuance of the authorization may be submitted to any county or Bucharest municipal public health department within whose area of competence the applicant carries out or will carry out public services related to the medical act.
  6. The practice authorization is valid throughout the country.
