Social vouchers for kindergarten are granted to children from disadvantaged families who participate in activities organized within preschool education units and who are at risk both of dropping out and of not attending preschool classes, due to limited access to economic resources and education.
The incentive is granted to children enrolled in a preschool education unit who are in one of the following situations:
a) come from families who have established the right to family support allowance granted under Law no. 277/2010 on the family support allowance, republished, with subsequent amendments and completions, regardless of whether the family is currently receiving this right or it is suspended;
b) are in the care of a person designated by the parent or guardian for the maintenance of the child during their absence, according to art. 104 of Law no. 272/2004 on the protection and promotion of children's rights, republished, with subsequent amendments and completions, hereinafter referred to as the designated person, if the income per person, including the child in care, does not exceed the maximum income level for granting the family support allowance.
