Persons authorized to possess and, as the case may be, to carry and use lethal weapons are required, within 10 days from the transfer of the weapon, to report to the competent police authority to request the removal of the weapon from the weapons permit, presenting for this purpose the authentic document certifying that the weapon has been transferred in accordance with the law. Likewise, persons who have acquired the right to possess and use non-lethal weapons subject to notification are required, within 10 days from the transfer of the weapon, to report to the competent police authority in order to have the mentions cancelled or, as the case may be, the holder's certificate withdrawn, presenting for this purpose the document certifying that the weapon has been transferred in accordance with the law.
