The certificate must confirm that the applicant is legally established in a member state of the European Union or belonging to the European Economic Area or in the Swiss Confederation for the purpose of carrying out such activities and that he/she is not prohibited from practicing the profession, even temporarily, at the time the certificate is issued. The certificate shall be submitted in copy. If the document is issued in a language other than Romanian, a legalized Romanian translation of the respective document shall also be submitted.*

The applicant will submit a statement regarding the services they will provide in Romania. The statement is renewed annually if the applicant intends to exercise, temporarily or occasionally, during that year, the activity of judicial technical expert in Romania.*

The document proving professional qualification and certifying the acquisition of the status of judicial technical expert in the country of origin shall be submitted either as a notarized copy or as a copy certified for conformity with the original and signed by the person designated by the Ministry of Justice, accompanied by a legalized Romanian translation of the respective document.*

Proof of citizenship of one of the member states of the EU or belonging to the European Economic Area, or of citizenship of the Swiss Confederation, will be provided with the identity document and, if necessary, with another document proving citizenship. The document will be submitted as a copy.*

For the case in which the profession of judicial technical expert is not regulated in the state where the applicant is established, the applicant shall submit a document proving that they have carried out a specific activity for the qualification of judicial technical expert for at least 1 year in the last 10 years. The document will be submitted in copy. If the document is issued in a language other than Romanian, a legalized translation into Romanian of the respective document shall also be submitted.*
