The certificate must confirm that the applicant is legally established in a member state of the European Union or belonging to the European Economic Area or in the Swiss Confederation for the purpose of carrying out such activities and that they are not prohibited from practicing the profession, even temporarily, at the time the certificate is issued. The certificate must be submitted in copy. If the document is issued in a language other than Romanian, a legalized Romanian translation of the respective document must also be submitted.*

The applicant shall submit a statement regarding the services to be provided in Romania. The statement is renewed annually, if the applicant intends to exercise, temporarily or occasionally, within that year, the activity of judicial technical expert in Romania.*

The document proving professional qualification and certifying the acquisition of the status of judicial technical expert in the country of origin shall be submitted in a legalized copy or in a copy certified for conformity with the original and signed by the person designated within the Ministry of Justice, accompanied by a legalized translation of the respective document into Romanian.*

Proof of citizenship of one of the EU member states or belonging to the European Economic Area or of the citizenship of the Swiss Confederation will be provided with the identity document and, if necessary, another document proving citizenship. The document shall be submitted in copy.*

For the case where the profession of judicial technical expert is not regulated in the state where the applicant is established, they shall submit a document proving that they have carried out a specific activity for the qualification of judicial technical expert for at least 1 year in the last 10 years. The document shall be submitted in copy. If the document is issued in a language other than Romanian, a legalized translation of the document into Romanian shall also be submitted.*
