This procedure describes the way in which specialists - natural persons, certified as technical experts in construction, can extend the validity of their practice rights. The technical expert carries out their activity in one of the following forms - employee of a legal entity whose statute provides for activities of technical quality verification of projects, in compliance with legal provisions - authorized, as a natural person, to carry out activities independently - employee of the investor, according to the law. The practice right is proven by the permit within the validity period, issued by the competent authority together with the certification certificate.

Decisions regarding the profession of certified technical expert can be challenged before Romanian courts of administrative litigation, with respect to material and territorial jurisdiction, as well as the deadlines established by art. 7 and art. 10 of the Administrative Litigation Law no. 554/2004, with subsequent amendments and completions.
