Details

Upon request, persons conducting forensic expert activities within institutes and public laboratories may be registered in the Nominal Table comprising authorized forensic experts, without examination.

Stages:

Phase 1: submission of the request accompanied by documents certifying the fulfillment of the legal requirements, their verification, registration in the Nominal Table comprising forensic experts, publication in the Official Gazette of Romania, part IV of this updated table, and its display on the website of the Ministry of Justice

Phase 2: issuance of the authorized forensic expert ID. According to art.11 of Government Ordinance no. 75/2000 regarding the organization of forensic expertise activities, as subsequently amended and supplemented, "Authorized forensic experts pursuant to this ordinance are required to notify the Ministry of Justice within 30 days of any change to the data communicated at the time of acquiring this status."

The profession of authorized forensic expert is found at position no. 29 in Annex no. 2 to Law no. 200/2004 regarding the recognition of diplomas and professional qualifications for regulated professions in Romania, with subsequent amendments and completions.*
