The professional maternal assistant is the natural person, certified under the conditions of Government Decision no. 679/2003, who, through the activity carried out at their domicile, ensures the upbringing, care, and education necessary for the harmonious development of the children placed in their care.
Within the Procedure, DGASPC Cluj:
- Evaluates the capacity of applicants, for certification as a professional maternal assistant, to provide appropriate care for the child who requires this type of protection;
- Organizes and conducts initial training courses for professional maternal assistants, as trainers;
- Prepares the certification file for professional maternal assistant, maintains and updates the file of the professional maternal assistant according to standards in the field;
- Supports and monitors the activity of the professional maternal assistant, ensuring that they are informed in writing, accept, understand, and act in accordance with quality standards in the field;
- Ensures the professional maternal assistant is informed about the child's situation, based on the information held, and monitors compliance with standards, procedures, and instructions regarding child care, ensuring these have been understood and applied;
- Organizes the process of matching the child with the professional maternal assistant,
- Proposes to the Child Protection Commission the withdrawal or suspension of the professional maternal assistant certificate, in justified cases based on a report;
- Ensures the psychological evaluation of the professional maternal assistant, and the other family members, as needed;
- Identifies the continuous training needs of the professional maternal assistant; organizes and supports continuous training courses/organizes support groups for professional maternal assistants
- Annually evaluates the activity of the professional maternal assistant according to quality standards in the field;

To obtain a certificate for behavioral integrity according to Law no. 118/2019, any natural person can personally submit the standard application, with complete civil status data and a motivated request, at the place of birth or domicile/residence/temporary residence at the IPJ - SCJSEO headquarters at the counter, without paying any fee.*
Agreement statement*
