Recognition of qualifications and teaching positions by Aurel Vlaicu University of Arad*

The procedure is described in the Methodology regarding the recognition of the doctoral diploma in sciences or in a professional field obtained abroad, as well as the quality of doctoral supervisor obtained in accredited university institutions abroad, approved by the Senate of "Aurel Vlaicu" University of Arad on 25.07.2019 https://cdn.uav.ro/documente/Universitate/Calitate/Regulamente-Metodologii-Proceduri-Formulare/Metodologii/M06-Metodologie-recunoastere-doctorate-strainatet-rev-1.pdf. This methodology is applied within the Interdisciplinary Doctoral School of "Aurel Vlaicu" University of Arad.

Teaching positions in higher education obtained in accredited university institutions from member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and in prestigious universities from other countries included in the List of prestigious universities from other countries, approved by order of the Minister of National Education and Scientific Research and periodically updated, are automatically recognized by higher education institutions in Romania.

Teaching positions obtained in other accredited university institutions than those mentioned above are recognized only based on an international convention of mutual recognition, concluded at intergovernmental or interuniversity level.

The provisions of the methodology apply to Romanian citizens, citizens from member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and citizens from third countries.

Occupying a teaching position in the Romanian higher education system is carried out according to the legal norms in force, namely the recognition certificate issued by CNRED, if the study document is obtained at other accredited university institutions abroad.

The recognition file includes the following documents:

a) recognition request;

b) identity document - copy - and proof of name change - copy and legalized translation (if applicable);

c) doctoral diploma, if the study document is obtained in Romania or at one of the accredited university institutions mentioned above.

d) proof of teaching position, issued by the institutions mentioned above.

Recognition of the teaching position by UAV, according to its own procedure, is valid and produces legal effects at the level of "AUREL VLAICU" University of Arad.

Recognition of the teaching position by CNRED is valid and produces legal effects throughout the territory of Romania.

Doctorate diploma, if the educational document is obtained in Romania or at one of the accredited higher education institutions mentioned below.
