Through this procedure, the academic teaching positions obtained in accredited foreign higher education institutionsare automatically recognized by the "Nicolae Balcescu" Land Forces Academy in Sibiu. The procedure applies to Romanian citizens and nationals of Member States of the European Union, of the European Economic Area, of the Swiss Confederation, who hold academic teaching positions, obtained in accredited foreign higher education institutionsin member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and prestigious universities from other states included in the "List of prestigious universities from other states", approved by OMECTS no. 5825/2016 and updated periodically, with a view to settling on the territory of Romania. The exercise of the rights conferred by the doctoral degree and the holding of a teaching position within the Romanian higher education system are carried out according to the legal norms in force. Appealing procedure The legal challenge is submitted at the academy. Subsequently, the final decision of the Academy can be appealed in court. Appeal routes
The applicant is informed about the approval or non-approval of the recognition (within 2 working days from the adoption of the decision by the University Senate) and may file an appeal within 5 working days from the date of the information.
The appeal is reviewed by the Appeal Committee within a maximum of 5 working days from the date of registration.
The decision of the Appeal Committee is final and is endorsed by the Board of Administration and validated by the University Senate.
The applicant is informed about the result of the appeal within 2 working days from the adoption of the decision by the University Senate.
