1. This procedure regulates the recognition by IOSUD - "Carol I" National Defence University of the status of doctoral supervisor/habilitation to supervise doctorates in the fields of “Military Sciences” or “Information and National Security”, obtained abroad.

2. The provisions of this procedure apply to all Romanian citizens, citizens of European Union states, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and citizens of third countries who opt for the recognition of the status of doctoral supervisor/habilitation in “Military Sciences” or “Information and National Security”, obtained abroad, by IOSUD – NDU “Carol I”.

3. IOSUD – NDU “Carol I” automatically recognizes the status of doctoral supervisor or habilitation in the fields of “Military Sciences” or “Information and National Security” obtained at: a) accredited higher education institutions from member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation; b) prestigious universities from other states provided in the List of Prestigious Universities from Other States, approved by order of the Minister of National Education and periodically updated.

The exercise of the rights conferred by the status of doctoral supervisor and the holding of a teaching position in the Romanian higher education system shall be carried out according to the legal regulations in force.
