Through this procedure, the status of PhD supervisor obtained in an accredited foreign higher education institution is automatically recognized within the "Vasile Alecsandri" University of Bacău.

The procedure applies to Romanian citizens, citizens of member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and third countries, who have obtained PhD supervisor status in accredited higher education institutions from member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and prestigious universities from other states provided in the List of prestigious universities from other states, approved by Order of the Minister of National Education no. 5462/2018.

Only in the case of temporary exercise, the provisions of Law no. 200/2004 and art. 296 of LEN no. 1/2011 apply directly. Reserved, vacant, or temporarily vacant teaching positions are filled with priority by the tenured teaching staff of the institution or by associated teaching staff.

The exercise of the rights conferred by the status of PhD supervisor and the occupation of a teaching position in the Romanian education system are carried out in accordance with the legal regulations in force.
