Regarding the Current Professional Certificate, we would like to make the following clarifications:

In accordance with the provisions of the Pharmacy Law no. 266/2008 in its consolidated form as published in the Official Gazette no. 448/30.06.2009 Part I, as well as the Implementing Rules published in the Official Gazette no. 538/03.07.2009 Part I, pharmacists who will hold the position of chief pharmacist in a pharmaceutical unit (in the case of the establishment of new pharmaceutical units, as well as the replacement of the chief pharmacist - for those who will take over the position), must address the county colleges to obtain the Current Professional Certificate.

Also, this document is necessary for pharmacists who wish to practice their profession outside the country's borders.

The methodology for drafting and issuing the Current Professional Certificate was established by Decision of the National Council of C.F.R. no. 1/2007, decision published in the Official Gazette of Romania Part I no. 324 of 15.05.2007.

We present below the main provisions of Decision no. 1/2007, as follows:
- The Current Professional Certificate will be drawn up by the College of Pharmacists of Romania and issued by the territorial college where the applicant is registered;
- The validity of the Current Professional Certificate is 3 (three) months from the date of issue;
- Within a maximum of three days from receiving the request for the issuance of the Current Professional Certificate, the territorial college will send the standard application to the College of Pharmacists of Romania for the drafting and issuance of the document;
- Within a maximum of 30 days from receiving the application, the C.F.R. will draft the certificate and send it to the territorial college;
- The Current Professional Certificate will be issued by the College of Pharmacists of Romania, which will prepare it and send it to the territorial college;
- The territorial college will prepare a Register of records - with the identification data of the Current Professional Certificates issued to pharmacists in that county - and will hand them to the applicants with a signed receipt.

To obtain the current professional certificate, the pharmacist must submit the application below and pay the fee of 100 lei into the account of the Mures College of Pharmacists: RO73BTRL02701205106420XX opened at Banca Transilvania Tg. Mureș.
