Recognition consists in the evaluation and compatibility of the level, field, and/or specialization of the psychopedagogical training program completed in the member states of the European Union, in the states signatory to the agreement on the European Economic Area or in the Swiss Confederation with those in the national education system, taking into account the admission requirements for the respective psychopedagogical training program and which may result in the issuance of a certificate granting the holder the same rights for the continuation of the psychopedagogical training program and/or access to the labor market, as graduates of accredited psychopedagogical training programs in Romania.

The procedure applies to citizens of the member states of the European Union, states signatory to the agreement on the European Economic Area and from the Swiss Confederation, who request recognition, in Romania, of the psychopedagogical training programs completed in the respective states for the continuation of psychopedagogical training and/or access to the labor market in Romania.

The certificate of recognition of the psychopedagogical training program is the document certifying that the holder has completed a psychopedagogical training program in a member state of the European Union, a state signatory to the agreement on the European Economic Area or in the Swiss Confederation.
