Automatic recognition by Adventus University in Cernica of teaching positions in higher education obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad*

The procedure establishes the rules and instructions by which, at the request of the data subjects, the automatic recognition by the Adventus University in Cernica (UA) of the academic teaching positions obtained in:
a) accredited higher education institutions from the member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, or the Swiss Confederation;
b) prestigious universities from other countries included in the List of prestigious universities from other countries, approved by order of the relevant minister and periodically updated (Order no. 5462/2018);
c) other accredited higher education institutions abroad, other than those mentioned, only on the basis of an international agreement of mutual recognition, concluded at intergovernmental or interuniversity level.
The procedure applies to:
a) Romanian citizens;
b) citizens from member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, or the Swiss Confederation;
c) citizens from third countries.
The recognition of the teaching position based on this procedure is valid and produces legal effects only at the level of Adventus University and is carried out for the purpose of:
a) occupying, for a determined period, vacant teaching positions as an associate teaching staff member;
b) participating in a competition for occupying a vacant teaching position within UA – with employment for an undetermined period;
c) participating in the competition commissions for filling vacant teaching and research positions within UA.

The decision of non-recognition can be contested only once, within 15 calendar days from notification, through a motivated request submitted to the UA Registry or sent to the email address secretariat@uadventus.ro.
The appeals are resolved and communicated to the applicants within 10 calendar days from registration. Following the appeal, the final decision of recognition or non-recognition can be challenged in the competent courts of law.
