Automatic recognition by Adventus University in Cernica of the quality of doctoral supervisor or habilitation obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad*

Procedure establishes the manner in which, at the request of the data subjects, the automatic recognition by Adventus University of Cernica (AU) is carried out for the status of doctoral advisor or habilitation, obtained at:
a) accredited higher education institutions from a member state of the EU, EEA, or Switzerland;
b) accredited higher education institutions included in the List of prestigious universities from other states, approved by Order no. 5462/2018 and periodically updated;
c) accredited higher education institutions that are the subject of an international mutual recognition agreement concluded at intergovernmental or interuniversity level.
Other situations not mentioned above do not fall under AU's competence and are subject to recognition and equivalence by CNRED.
The procedure applies to:
a) Romanian citizens;
b) citizens of member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, and the Swiss Confederation;
c) citizens of third countries.
Recognition of the status of doctoral advisor/habilitation based on this procedure is valid and produces legal effects only at the Adventus University level and is carried out for the purpose of:
a) participation in competition commissions for occupying teaching and research positions within AU;
b) participation in a competition for occupying a vacant teaching position within AU – with indefinite employment;
c) occupying a teaching position as an associate teaching staff.

The decision of non-recognition may be contested only once, within 15 calendar days from the date of communication, through a reasoned request submitted to the UA Registry or sent to the email address secretariat@uadventus.ro.
The appeals are resolved and communicated to the applicants within 10 calendar days from registration. Following the appeal, the final decision of recognition or non-recognition may be challenged in the competent courts of law.
