The procedure establishes the manner in which the automatic recognition, by UNATC, of teaching positions obtained in accredited higher education institutions in member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and from universities included in the List of prestigious universities from other states, approved by order of the Minister of National Education and periodically updated, is conducted. Teaching positions obtained at other accredited higher education institutions than those mentioned above are recognized only on the basis of an international convention of mutual recognition, concluded at intergovernmental or inter-university level.

The procedure applies to Romanian citizens, citizens of member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and citizens of third countries.

The exercise of the rights conferred by the status of doctoral supervisor and the occupation of a teaching position in the Romanian higher education system is carried out according to the legal regulations in force.

​The documents submitted in the file must be in Romanian, translated and legalized by an authorized translator. Recognition files that do not contain all the mentioned documents will not be processed.

The recognition of the teaching position by the National University of Theatre and Film is valid and produces legal effects at the level of UNATC.
