This methodology establishes the manner in which the “Ferdinand I” Military Technical Academy recognizes doctoral diplomas and doctoral titles in science obtained abroad, in compliance with the principles of legality, university autonomy, transparency, responsibility, and the applicable ethical and deontological norms. The “Ferdinand I” Military Technical Academy recognizes the doctoral diploma and the doctoral title in science obtained at:

• Accredited institutions of higher education or research and development from a member state of the European Union, the European Economic Area, and the Swiss Confederation;
• Accredited institutions of higher education or research and development included in the List of prestigious universities from other countries, approved by order of the Minister of National Education and periodically updated;
• Accredited institutions of higher education or research and development that are the subject of an international mutual recognition agreement, concluded at intergovernmental or inter-university level.

The provisions of this methodology apply to Romanian citizens, citizens of member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and citizens of third countries.
This methodology is valid and produces legal effects only at the level of the “Ferdinand I” Military Technical Academy.
