This procedure regulates the recognition of the doctoral diploma and the title of doctor of science or in a professional field, obtained abroad.

The procedure regarding the recognition by the “George Enescu” National University of Arts in Iași (hereinafter UNAGE) of the doctoral diploma and the title of doctor of science or in a professional field, obtained abroad, is elaborated based on ORDER no. 5.923/06.12.2016 of the Ministry of National Education and Scientific Research for the approval of the Methodology regarding the recognition of the doctoral diploma and the title of doctor of science or in a professional field, obtained abroad, published in the OFFICIAL GAZETTE no. 1,014 of December 16, 2016.

The “George Enescu” National University of Arts in Iași, as an accredited higher education institution, recognizes the doctoral diploma and the title of doctor of science or in a professional field, obtained at:

- accredited higher education or research-development institutions from a member state of the European Union, the European Economic Area, and the Swiss Confederation;

- accredited higher education or research-development institutions included in the List of prestigious universities from other states, approved by order of the Minister of National Education and Scientific Research, periodically updated;

- accredited higher education or research-development institutions that are subject to an international mutual recognition agreement, concluded at the intergovernmental or inter-university level.

UNAGE, as an accredited higher education institution, collaborates permanently with C.N.R.E.D. in order to recognize the diplomas mentioned in para. (1) and sends C.N.R.E.D. a centralized statement of the recognition requests every semester.

The recognition by UNAGE is carried out based on its own procedure approved at the institutional level, for the purpose of enrollment in postgraduate programs, obtaining habilitation, or occupying a teaching or research position within one of the aforementioned institutions or units.
