Regarding the Current Professional Certificate, we would like to make the following clarifications:

In accordance with the provisions of the Pharmacy Law no. 266/2008 in the consolidated form as it was published in the Official Gazette no. 448/30.06.2009 part I, as well as the Application Norms published in the Official Gazette no. 538/03.07.2009 part I, pharmacists who will hold the position of chief pharmacist in a pharmaceutical unit (in cases of establishment of new pharmaceutical units, as well as in the case of changing the chief pharmacist - for those who will take over the chief position), will address the county colleges to obtain the Current Professional Certificate.

Also, this document is necessary for pharmacists who wish to practice their profession outside the country's borders.

The methodology for preparing and issuing the Current Professional Certificate was established by the Decision of the National Council of the College of Pharmacists of Romania no. 1/2007, decision published in the Official Gazette of Romania Part I no. 324 of 15.05.2007.

Below, we present the main provisions of Decision no. 182007, as follows:

- The Current Professional Certificate will be prepared by the College of Pharmacists of Romania and issued by the territorial college where the applicant is registered:

The validity of the Current Professional Certificate is 3 months from the date of issuance;

Within a maximum of three days from receiving the request for issuing the Current Professional Certificate, the territorial college will send the standard application to the College of Pharmacists of Romania for the preparation and issuance of the document:

Within a maximum of 30 days from receiving the request, the College of Pharmacists of Romania will prepare the certificate and send it to the territorial college

The Current Professional Certificate will be issued by the College of Pharmacists of Romania, which will prepare it and transmit it to the territorial college;

The territorial college will prepare a Register of records - with identifying data of the Current Professional Certificates issued to pharmacists from that county - and will hand them to the applicants against signature of receipt.

The fee for issuing the Current Professional Certificate, in the amount of 100 lei, will be paid into the account of the territorial college RO50CECEBR0137RON0117763.
