Regarding the Current Professional Certificate, we would like to make the following clarifications:
In accordance with the provisions of the Pharmacy Law no. 266/2008 in the consolidated form as published in the Official Gazette no. 448/30.06.2009 Part I, as well as the Implementing Norms published in the Official Gazette no. 538/03.07.2009 Part I, pharmacists who will hold the position of chief pharmacist in a pharmaceutical unit (in the case of establishing new pharmaceutical units, as well as changes of chief pharmacist - for those who will take over the position of chief), shall contact the county colleges for obtaining the Current Professional Certificate.
Also, this document is needed by pharmacists who wish to practice their profession outside the country’s borders.
The methodology for drafting and issuing the Current Professional Certificate was established by the Decision of the National Council of the C.F.R. no. 1/2007, a decision published in the Official Gazette of Romania Part I no. 324 of 15.05.2007.
Below we present the main provisions of Decision no. 1/2007, as follows:
- The Current Professional Certificate will be drafted by the College of Pharmacists of Romania and issued by the territorial college where the applicant is registered;
- The validity of the Current Professional Certificate is 3 months from the date of issuance;
- Within a maximum of three days from receiving the request for issuing the Current Professional Certificate, the territorial college will send the standard application to the College of Pharmacists of Romania for drafting and issuing the document;
- Within a maximum of 30 days from receiving the application, the C.F.R. will draft the certificate and send it to the territorial college;
- The Current Professional Certificate will be issued by the College of Pharmacists of Romania, which will prepare and send it to the territorial college;
- The territorial college will prepare a Register of records – with the identification data of the Current Professional Certificates issued to pharmacists in that county – and will hand them to the applicants with acknowledgment of receipt.
The fee for issuing the Current Professional Certificate, amounting to 100 lei, will be paid into the territorial College account RO56RNCB0003037778210001.
To obtain the Current Professional Certificate, the pharmacist shall submit to the territorial college a file containing the documents attached below.
