Required documents for the file (in copy): – standard application – identity documents of the applicants; – child’s birth certificate; – as the case may be, marriage certificate or family record book; – child’s disability degree certificate, if applicable; – application approved by the management of the unit for entering child-raising leave; – proof issued by the employer or competent authorities regarding the income earned; – decision to suspend the individual employment contract for the period of 1 year, 2 years, or 3 years in the case of a child with a disability; – in the case of persons who simultaneously earn taxable income from multiple sources, child-raising leave and allowance are granted based on supporting documents regarding the suspension of at least one of the activities; – the applicant’s tax record (if applicable); – if the applicant opts to receive the allowance or incentive in a personal account, an account statement is required, the IBAN account from the bank. If a person is already receiving the child-raising allowance and has given birth to another child, a new file must be prepared for the extension of the leave. If the person on child-raising leave opts for payment of the incentive, a new file must be prepared and a request submitted for granting the incentive. Starting with March 1, 2012, at least one month of the total child-raising leave period is allocated to the person who has not requested this right. Therefore, regardless of the situation, the parent who is on child-raising leave or receiving the integration incentive, except for cases where the applicability of art. 11 of GEO no.111/2010 is not mandatory, will lose one month of entitlement, whether it is for allowance or incentive, if the other parent does not access their own right to leave. The new regulation applies for children born after March 1, 2012, this being imposed in accordance with the principle that the responsibility for child care belongs to both parents.*
