The marketing carnet for products from the agricultural sector is valid for 7 years and is issued upon request to the applicant by the mayor whose area of competence includes the land/farm/household where the products estimated to be intended for marketing are obtained, within 5 working days from the date of the request, after verifying the existence of the producer's certificate, the actual verification in the field of the existence of the product/products subject to marketing, and after obtaining the consultative approval from one of the professional/employer/trade union associations in agriculture or from the subordinate or coordinated territorial entities, established under the law for this purpose by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. Multiple marketing carnets may also be issued upon request.*

The producer certificate is issued by the mayor within 5 working days from the date of the request, with the consultative opinion issued by one of the professional/employer/syndicate associative structures in agriculture, as the case may be, established according to the law and organized at local/zone/county/regional/national level, which are registered with the town, city, municipality, or sector councils of Bucharest and which nominate at least one representative for this purpose, or, in the absence of the opinion from one of the professional/employer/syndicate associative structures in agriculture, by the subordinate or coordinated territorial entities established for this purpose, under the law, by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. In the case of the issuance of consultative opinions by one of the professional/employer/syndicate associative structures in agriculture, they are obliged to transmit the record of the issued consultative opinions to the county agriculture departments and to the department of Bucharest municipality.*
