Granting social assistance*

Details

Social assistance is granted monthly, to supplement the net monthly income of the family or single person, to ensure the guaranteed minimum income. Payment of social assistance is provided by the Gorj County Agency for Payments and Social Inspection, from the budget of the Ministry of Labor and Social Justice.

For the amounts granted as social assistance, one of the able-bodied adults in the family must perform, each month, actions or works of local interest, for all family members, without exceeding the normal work regime; failure to fulfill this obligation leads to the suspension of the social assistance, and if this obligation is not fulfilled within 3 months from the suspension, the payment of social assistance ceases.

People able to work who do not earn income from salaries or other activities will provide proof that they are registered with the Territorial Agency for Employment for job placement and have not unjustifiably refused a job offered or have not refused to participate in a professional training program / certificate for attesting the loss of work capacity (including a special assistance slip). The certificate issued by A.LO.F.M - ADJUD / the certificate for attesting the loss of work capacity (the medical decision issued by the expert doctor of social insurance within the county pension house and other social insurance rights, for disability pensioners; the certificate issued by the medical expert commission for persons with disabilities, for people with disabilities; the medical certificate for determining work capacity, issued by the expert doctor of social insurance within the county pension house and other social insurance rights, for people with chronic disabling conditions who are not insured in the public pension system; medical certificate issued by the family doctor or, as the case may be, by the specialist doctor, for people with conditions that cause temporary work incapacity.*
