Through this procedure, only within the Institute of Business Administration of Bucharest, the doctoral diploma and the title of doctor in sciences or in a professional field obtained abroad are recognized.
The procedure applies to Romanian citizens, citizens from Member States of the European Union, of the European Economic Area, of the Swiss Confederation, citizens from third states, who have obtained the title of doctor in accredited institutions of higher education or research and development from Member States of the European Union, of the European Economic Area, of the Swiss Confederation, in prestigious universities from other states listed in the List of prestigious universities from other states, approved by Order of the Minister of National Education no. 5462/2018, or which are the subject of an international convention of mutual recognition signed at intergovernmental or inter-university level.
The procedure applies only for occupying a teaching position or for occupying a research position within the Institute of Business Administration of Bucharest.
Only in the case of temporary exercise, the provisions of Law no. 200/2004 and art. 296 of LEN no. 1/2011 apply directly. Reserved, vacant or temporarily vacant teaching positions are filled with priority by tenured teaching staff of the institution or by associated teaching staff.
The exercise of the rights granted by the status of doctoral supervisor and occupying a teaching position in the Romanian education system is carried out according to the legal norms in force.

The doctoral degree is found at position no. A8 in Annex no. 2 of Law 200/2004 regarding the recognition of diplomas and professional qualifications for regulated professions in Romania, with subsequent amendments and completions.*
