Through this procedure, only within the Institute of Business Administration in Bucharest, the doctoral diploma and the title of doctor in sciences or in a professional field obtained abroad are recognized.
The procedure applies to Romanian citizens, citizens of member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, citizens of third countries, who have obtained the title of doctor in accredited institutions of higher education or research and development in member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, in prestigious universities from other countries listed in the List of prestigious universities from other countries, approved by the Order of the Minister of National Education no. 5462/2018, or who are subject to an international mutual recognition agreement, concluded at intergovernmental or inter-university level.
The procedure applies only for occupying a teaching position or a research position within the Institute of Business Administration in Bucharest.
Only in the case of temporary exercise, the provisions of Law no. 200/2004 and art. 296 of LEN no. 1/2011 apply directly. Reserved, vacant or temporarily vacant teaching positions are filled with priority by the tenured teaching staff of the institution or by associated teaching staff.
The exercise of rights conferred by the status of doctoral supervisor and the occupation of a teaching position in the Romanian education system are carried out in accordance with the legal norms in force.

The doctoral degree is found at position no. A8 in Annex no. 2 of Law 200/2004 regarding the recognition of diplomas and professional qualifications for regulated professions in Romania, as subsequently amended and supplemented.*
