Through this procedure, only within the Maritime University of Constanta, teaching positions in higher education obtained in accredited institutions abroad are automatically recognized for Romanian citizens, citizens of the member states of the European Union, the Swiss Confederation, and third countries, at:
a. accredited higher education institutions in member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, and the Swiss Confederation;
b. prestigious universities from other countries provided in the List of prestigious universities from other countries, approved by the order of the Minister of National Education no. 5462/2018, and periodically updated;
c. other accredited higher education institutions from abroad than those mentioned, only based on an international mutual recognition agreement, concluded at intergovernmental or interuniversity level.
Only in the case of temporary activity, the provisions of Law no. 200/2004 and art. 296 of LEN no. 1/2011 apply directly. Reserved, vacant, or temporarily vacant teaching positions are covered primarily by tenured teaching staff of the institution or by associated teaching staff.
The occupation of a teaching position in the Romanian higher education system is carried out according to the legal provisions in force.
