Details
Social housing is allocated with subsidized rent to individuals or families whose economic situation does not allow them to own a home or rent a home under market conditions.
Access to social housing for rent is granted to families or individuals with a net monthly income per person, obtained in the last 12 months, below the average monthly net wage for the total economy, as reported by the National Institute of Statistics in the last Statistical Bulletin prior to the month in which the application is reviewed, as well as prior to the month in which the housing is allocated.
Social housing is allocated by the local public administration authorities (Local Councils) based on criteria established annually by them.
