Child-Raising Allowance is granted to biological parents, adoptive parents, persons to whom children have been entrusted for adoption, legal guardians, or persons who have children in foster care or emergency foster care, with the exception of professional foster carers, and who live together with the child or children for whom they are claiming benefits. These persons must have residence in Romania; They must have earned income subject to income tax for a period of 12 months in the last 2 years before the birth/adoption/guardianship or the placement of the child, or must have been in one or more of the situations specifically defined by law, or must attend (without interruption)/have graduated, full-time pre-university courses, including within the "Second Chance" program, or, as applicable, university courses at the level of undergraduate or master's studies, as well as post-university master's training, organized according to law, in the country or abroad, in a field recognized by the Ministry of Education, except for the interruption of courses for medical reasons.
Insertion Incentive is a monthly amount paid to parents who decide to resume professional activity before or after the end of the child-raising leave.
