If the parents have been migrant workers, they will submit supporting documents to confirm the address (the address of INS - the institution paying the allowance in the country/locality from the EU member state) and the insurance number from the EU member state where the child was born, as well as a statement certifying the period during which they worked, whether they receive or have received allowances from that state, and where they currently reside. If the parents have not worked abroad and no documents have been issued in the EU member state, the applicant will submit a statement specifying the period spent abroad, that no allowance was received from that state, and where they currently reside.*

For legal representatives requesting the establishment of the right to state allowance, according to Law 61/1993 (republished), whose children are born in one of the member states of the European Union or whose children have lived together with their parents for a certain period in one of these member states, annex no. 1 to Council Regulation no. 1408/1971 must also be filled in and obligatorily attached to the allowance file. Also, persons who have had or have residence in one of the member states of the European Union will also present residence documents, in copy.*
