Accreditation of electronic archive administrators*

Details

Any person who intends to become an administrator, hereinafter referred to as the applicant, has the obligation to submit a notification to the A.D.R., registered at the A.D.R. Registry and subsequently at the Information Society Service, to this effect at least 30 days before starting the activity.

The notification is considered completed if all legal requirements regarding its submission, form, and content have been met. The applicant who has made the notification within the time frame and under the conditions stipulated by law acquires the status of administrator from the date indicated in the standard notification form as the estimated date of starting the activity, but not earlier than 30 days from the date the notification was made.

If it finds that all legal conditions for acquiring administrator status have been met, A.D.R. issues and communicates the accreditation order to the applicant, registers the administrator in the register, and issues their identification code.

if the applicant intends to provide electronic archiving services to third parties, they must submit a guarantee letter from a specialized financial institution or a civil liability insurance policy for the provision of electronic archiving services issued by an insurance company, with a value at least equal to the equivalent in lei of the amount of 300,000 euros and with a validity of at least 12 months, which must cover any damages that might be caused during the conduct of electronic archiving activities.*
