Procedure for the recognition of certification - judicial expert - Romanian citizen /citizen of another EU or EEA Member State, who acquired the necessary professional qualification in another EU or EEA Member State (certification procedure without examination) wanting to exert his/her profession in Romania

The registration request will be written in Romanian and will contain data regarding the expert: surname, first name, personal numerical code, citizenship, domicile address in the EU or EEA member state or in the Swiss Confederation and, if applicable, the residence address in Romania, expert's specialization, telephone, fax, e-mail, internet page. The registration request will be submitted in original.*

The applicant shall submit the criminal record certificate, which is within its validity period. Romanian citizens shall submit the original criminal record certificate. Citizens of a Member State of the European Union, other than Romania, shall submit the criminal record certificate accompanied by the multilingual standard form – translation aid instrument [Annex no. XI to Regulation (EU) 2016/1191]. Citizens of the member states of the European Economic Area or of the Swiss Confederation shall submit the criminal record certificate, apostilled or legalized as appropriate, accompanied by the certified translation thereof.*

The document attesting the acquisition of the professional qualification of judicial technical expert in the country of origin shall be submitted in a legalized copy or in a copy certified for conformity with the original and signed by the appointed person from within the Ministry of Justice. If the document is issued in a language other than Romanian, a legalized translation of the respective document in Romanian shall also be submitted.*
