Registration or, as the case may be, entry in the National Register of Phonograms is mandatory for authorized natural persons or legal entities that carry out on the territory of Romania the activities of producing, importing, distributing phonograms, according to art. 4 of G.O. 25/2006. In accordance with the provisions of GEO 43/2010, art. III, point 2. ref. to art. 6 para. (1) of OG no. 25/2006, the registration in the National Register of Phonograms of authorized natural persons and legal entities carrying out on the territory of Romania the activity of marketing phonograms is optional.

The documents for registration must contain the following:

Standard requests: Forms 1, 2

Copies of:

- the registration certificate at the Trade Register Office;

- the tax registration certificate only for non-profit legal entities;

- copy of the invoice/payment order regarding the payment for the registration operation in the register.

The fees for registration operations are provided by H.G.1086/2008, as follows:

- activity registration for distribution 50 lei;

- point of work registration 20 lei,- storage space registration 20 lei;

,- application for completion for completing missing documents, following the rejection of the initial registration application -10 lei.
