Enrollment in primary education is done based on a methodology approved by the Ministry of Education.
Thus, children who turn 6 years old by August 31, 2018, inclusive, must be enrolled in preparatory class, in accordance with the Education Law.
Parents must go to the school inspectorates and educational institutions, these being obliged to ensure information and counseling regarding the enrollment.
Lists with school districts must be displayed at the headquarters of inspectorates and educational institutions, and parents must be informed about the content of educational activities that take place in the preparatory class, the teaching approach, the organization of the school program, etc.
Children who turn 6 years old in the period September 1 - December 31, 2018, inclusive, can be enrolled if their psychsomatic development is appropriate.
All educational institutions are obliged to offer information regarding the procedure for enrolling children in primary education regardless of whether the parents belong to the respective district or not.
