Associations in the food sector can develop and disseminate national guides of good practice regarding compliance with hygiene rules for food products and the application of HACCP principles.
The national guides are evaluated by the National Sanitary Veterinary and Food Safety Authority to ensure that:
a) they have been developed in compliance with the requirements of the applicable legislation in force,
b) their content can be used for the sectors in the food field to which they refer,
c) they are adequate as guides for the compliance of operators active in the food field with the hygiene requirements applicable to the sectors and food products to which they refer.
The Authority submits the national guides to the European Commission, these being recorded by the Commission.

If the economic operators are dissatisfied with the outcome of the request, they may file an appeal within the deadlines and under the conditions provided by Law no. 554/2004 on administrative litigation, as amended and supplemented.
