Details

The procedure is intended for any citizen of a member state of the European Union, the European Economic Area, or the Swiss Confederation who wishes to practice the profession of probation counselor in Romania.

The procedure for testing skills and Romanian language knowledge, for the purpose of recognizing the applicant's professional qualification, is carried out under the conditions of Law no. 123/2006 regarding the status of probation personnel, with subsequent amendments and completions, as well as Law no. 200/2004 regarding the recognition of diplomas and professional qualifications for regulated professions in Romania, with subsequent amendments and completions.

The professional qualification of probation counselor is certified based on a qualification title or, as the case may be, professional experience.

Recognition of professional qualification based on professional experience grants the applicant the right to practice the profession of probation counselor in Romania under the same conditions as Romanian citizens, allowing employment in a vacant position with the grade corresponding to the recognized seniority.
