This procedure aims to establish the norms, rules, and instructions for ensuring the proper conduct of automatic recognition activities, by the "Grigore T. Popa" University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Iași, of doctoral diplomas and the title of Doctor of Science obtained at accredited higher education institutions abroad.

The procedure applies to doctoral diplomas and the title of Doctor of Science, documents issued by prestigious universities in other countries, which are included in the list of prestigious universities approved by OMECS no. 4002/2024 and periodically updated, in accordance with national and European legislative frameworks.

Appeal routes

The applicant may file an appeal within 3 working days from the communication of the result of the recognition dossier evaluation. The appeal must be submitted in writing, according to the template included in the procedure, and uploaded on the ROePAS platform and/or sent to the e-mail address rectorat@umfiasi.ro. The appeals committee meets within a maximum of 48 hours from the submission of the appeal and, within 3 working days, communicates the solution to the formulated appeal to the applicant via e-mail. A legal remedy against the recognition decision may be filed with the courts, in accordance with applicable law.
