This procedure aims to establish the norms, rules, and instructions to ensure the proper conduct of automatic recognition activities, by the “Grigore T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Iași, of the doctoral diploma and the title of doctor in sciences obtained from accredited higher education institutions abroad.

The procedure applies to the doctoral diploma and the title of doctor in sciences, documents issued by prestigious universities from other countries, which are part of the list of prestigious universities approved by OMECTS no. 5825/2016 and periodically updated, in accordance with the national and European legislative framework.

Appeal routes

The applicant may submit an appeal within 3 working days from the communication of the result of the recognition file evaluation. The appeal must be submitted in writing, according to the template included in the procedure, and uploaded to the PCUe platform and/or sent to the e-mail address rectorat@umfiasi.ro. The appeal committee meets within a maximum of 48 hours from the submission of the appeal and, within 3 working days, communicates to the applicant, via e-mail, the solution to the appeal submitted. Against the recognition decision, a legal remedy may be filed with the courts of law, in accordance with the applicable legal rules.
