This methodology establishes the procedure by which the recognition is carried out, within the “Eftimie Murgu” University of Reșița (UEMR), of the doctoral diploma and the title of doctor in sciences or in a professional field obtained abroad.
The provisions of this methodology apply to Romanian citizens, citizens from member states of the European Union, of the European Economic Area, of the Swiss Confederation and citizens from third countries, who have obtained a doctoral diploma and the title of doctor in sciences or in a professional field obtained abroad in accredited higher education institutions from member states of the European Union, of the European Economic Area, of the Swiss Confederation and in prestigious universities from other countries included in the “List of prestigious universities from other countries,” approved by OMENCS no. 5.462/2018 and updated periodically.

The appeal against the rector's decision must be registered within 48 hours from its issuance at the UEMR Rectorate or through the single electronic contact point. The decision of the committee resolving the appeal is issued within 72 hours from the date of registration. Subsequently, the final decision of the university can be challenged in court.
