Details

LIMITS: The recognition by ULBS of university teaching positions obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad has legal effects only within ULBS and is carried out for the purpose of:

- participating in a competition for occupying a vacant teaching position within ULBS
- participating in competition committees for filling teaching and research positions within ULBS
- participating in thesis evaluation committees;
- participating as a "visiting professor" in various scientific and/or teaching activities within ULBS.
- complying with the provisions of the legislation in force and the decisions of the ULBS Senate.

The status of doctoral supervisor is found at position no. A.8 in Annex 2 to Law no. 200 of 2004 regarding the recognition of diplomas and professional qualifications for regulated professions in Romania, with subsequent amendments and additions.*

Appeal routes

The appeal against the decision of the ULBS Rector not to issue the recognition certificate may be submitted at the ULBS Registry or on the PCUe platform within 15 working days from the applicant’s notification, through a motivated request (attached template). Appeals are reviewed and resolved by an appeals commission appointed by the Rector’s decision, which will reassess the file and propose a solution within 5 working days from registration.

ULBS’s refusal to issue the recognition decision may be challenged under the provisions of Law no.554/2004 on administrative litigation.
