Methodology regarding the recognition of teaching positions in university education obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad*

This methodology establishes the way in which automatic recognition is carried out, within the Romanian-German University of Sibiu, of teaching positions obtained in accredited foreign higher education institutions. The provisions of this methodology apply to Romanian citizens, citizens of member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and citizens of third countries who have obtained teaching positions in accredited higher education institutions in member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, and in prestigious universities from other states included in the "List of prestigious universities from other states", approved by OMECTS no. 5825/2016 and periodically updated.

The teaching profession is found at position no. A.8 from Annex no. 2 of Law no. 200 of 2004 regarding the recognition of diplomas and professional qualifications for regulated professions in Romania, with subsequent amendments and completions.*

The decision of recognition or non-recognition can be appealed by submitting a contestation at the university registry within 10 days of receiving it. Subsequently, the final decision of the university can be contested at the competent court in the municipality of Sibiu.
