The procedure establishes the manner in which the automatic recognition is carried out, by Transilvania University of Brașov, of teaching positions obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad for persons applying for a teaching position within the university.

Transilvania University of Brașov recognizes teaching positions in higher education obtained at:

a) accredited higher education or research-development institutions from a member state of the European Union, the European Economic Area, and the Swiss Confederation;

b) accredited higher education or research-development institutions included in the List of prestigious universities from other states, approved/updated by order of the relevant minister;

c) accredited higher education or research-development institutions that are subject to an international mutual recognition agreement, concluded at intergovernmental or inter-university level.

The recognition of teaching positions obtained abroad according to the Methodology regarding the recognition at Transilvania University of Brașov of teaching positions in higher education obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad, is valid and produces legal effects only within Transilvania University of Brașov.

The processing fee for the files for the recognition of teaching positions in higher education obtained in accredited higher education institutions abroad is 150 lei/file.

The application must obligatorily mention all the applicant's contact (correspondence) details, in order to allow communication during the recognition process, the applicant assuming responsibility for the accuracy of the declared data. The university cannot be held responsible for not processing the application if the applicant does not follow up on the correspondence received or does not respond in due time to requests regarding the recognition file.*

In copy, if the diploma is obtained in Romania or from an accredited higher education institution in the member states of the European Union, the European Economic Area, the Swiss Confederation, or from a university included in the List of prestigious universities from other countries, approved by order of the Minister of Education. If the diploma is obtained from other accredited higher education institutions abroad than those mentioned above, the doctoral diploma will be accompanied by the recognition certificate issued by CNRED, in copy, if the diploma is issued in Romanian, English, French, Spanish, Italian and with an authorized translation for other languages. If the field of the doctorate is not indicated on the doctoral diploma, it will be accompanied by a document issued by the institution that issued the diploma, which must contain the name of the doctoral field in which the applicant obtained the diploma and the title of doctor, in copy for documents in Romanian, English, French, Spanish, Italian and with an authorized translation for other languages.*

This document is issued by the institution that granted the teaching position: a) accredited higher education or research and development institutions from a member state of the European Union, the European Economic Area, and the Swiss Confederation; b) accredited higher education or research and development institutions included in the List of prestigious universities from other states, approved/updated by order of the relevant minister; c) accredited higher education or research and development institutions that are subject to an international recognition agreement, concluded at intergovernmental or inter-university level.*

In the case of a decision not to recognize the teaching position obtained abroad, the applicant is also provided with the reasoned decision of the evaluation committee, and he/she may submit an appeal within 30 days from the date of postal confirmation of receipt of the decision, through a reasoned application which shall be submitted to the University's registry, or sent by mail, or transmitted electronically (e-mail to the address mentioned in this procedure, or in the electronic platform where the request was registered – as applicable).

The appeal submitted by the applicant will be analyzed and solved by the Administrative Council (CA) of the University within no more than 30 days. The CA's decision regarding the appeal is irrevocable at Transilvania University of Brașov and is communicated to the applicant by mail to the correspondence address indicated.
